The distillation by the steam
Distillation for an essential oil.
During the distillation, the steam crosses plants, then is recondensed. We obtain then an essential oil and a floral water. The essential oil is lighter than the floral water thus it floats above the floral water.
The productivity of this process is very variable according to plants. Four tons of petals of rose are needed for example to obtain 1 kilo of this essential oil, one of the most expensive.
The expression
The expression or the cold pressure is reserved for the barks of citrus fruits: the lemon (Citrus Limonum), the mandarin (Citrus reticulata), the sweet orange (Citrus Sinensis), the bitter orange (Citrus Aurantium), the grapefruit (Citrus Paradisii)... We use then the designation gasoline. The flask clarifies generally that essential oils result from the zest.
We privilege the respectful home-made distillation of the knowledge with stainless steel tanks. Partners (producer, distillers) engaged in an organic step and of environmental protection for essential oils exempt from pesticides or chemicals. Total traceability (of the field up to the flask), HE pure 100%, natural 100%, organic 100% and chemically checked (chromatography available on simple demand).
